Wildlife Watch:
Loads of skylarks (now I've got my ear in there seems to be one over every field.)
Plenty of lapwings.
2 bumblebee queens doing their thing.
2 kestrels and a pair of buzzards.

12/02/12 - Finally warm enough to get back on the bike - but only for a quick blast - 1 hour, about 16 miles.
11/02/12- 45 minute spin session - hills and sprints
20 minute free-weight session - dead lifts and squats.
10/02/12 - 35 minute spin session
07/02/12 - No bike, still too much ice around so had to DRIVE to tennis (the shame!)
06/02/12 - 45 minute spin session - hills, sprints & power bursts
05/02/12 - 45 minute spin session with hills (Agony!)

Warmest weekend of the year so far but wet and windy.
No matter which option I took at a junction I seemed to always find myself cycling into the wind!

Thankfully a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday, so less risk of ice.

First proper ride of the year.
Not ideal weather for cycling, the temperature perked up a bit from last week to about 8 degrees but was still very windy so felt a lot colder. Thankfully the ground was dry for the most part - slippery road services are the cyclist's enemy.

3 kestrels, a buzzard, a green woodpecker, a meadow pippit and a flock of about 200 various gulls including some real monsters that I assume were great black-backed, or maybe just some big ass herrings!
